What is an infographic? If you don't know, go look it up. Read about it and then in your own words tell me what an infographic is. What do infographics do? How do they work? What makes a really good infographic?

It’s a graphic display of info relating to a specific topic to related topics. They inform the reader about of a bunch info in a small concise space. They give a pretty and formal way to convey boing things. They are big, bright, at eye level and have a focal point.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

My homecoming weekend was a really fun night. We went to the dance with a group of friends. The clan was Ali, Luke, Tate, Sophia, Rissa, Jessica, and me. We headed to Rissa’s house for photos her house and land was beautiful. Then Ali, Luke, Tate, Sophia, Rissa crammed themselves into Ali’s toy car; while Jessica and I went in my redneck truck just the two of us a great use of space. Photos were followed by dinner at the Hereford House it was really good, I would totally go back. After a two hour dinner we headed to the dance, the worst part of the evening. We were there for about an hour and a half and then some kid got hurt and they sent every one home. I didn’t care thought  I was ready to leave by then. Then we all took each other home and that was the night. Sunday I just watched TV all day and was very lazy.

Wednesday 9/24/14

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

I would have him create a very strict honor code with very severe discipline. This would make a difference because you don’t have locks on your lockers and nothing will walk away. Also you have trust that you won’t cheat so you don’t have to cover your answers on a quiz or test. Teachers can, not be in the room with people in the room and they won’t go through the teacher’s desk. You can leave the doors unlocked and open and have nothing to worry about.  The students fear breaking the rules, “it’s not worth it” they say. This is the one big thing I miss about my old school.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?

My favorite apps on my phone are all my social media apps (Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) because I love talking to friends and seeing how they are. Also my other favorite app is planning center because it it’s the app I use to work at my church to volunteer with the production team.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

It’s mail that can be sent electronically from device to device. I use it all the time to send large files to friends and work and Facebook. They use it for all kinds applications work, church, school and many more. That you need to spell out everything unless it’s sent from your phone. It’s more formal than a text but less than a physical letter.

Friday 9/19/14

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubble, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain.

This is the worst class I have ever taken. The people are so annoying and immature. I could teach this class to myself. I don’t know why I have to take this class; I would love nothing better to than just walk out of your class every day. Writing stupid papers is the dumbest thing I have heard. The class I could have taken and loved is this hour but no I have to take your stupid class to graduate. I don’t think that these things are helpful by the time you'er a senior I would hope you know how you write and outline. This is a class for freshmen who have no clue how to be in high school not seniors!!!  I’m so done with this class if I could I would be in rep theater where I belong, to help my life of tech work not stupid computer science classes.

Wednesday 9/17/14

Do you enjoy writing? When do you enjoy it? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why do you think the ability to write is so important no matter what kind of writing it is? Give an example that you enjoyed writing or hated writing. Why?

I absolutely hate writing more than anything. I never enjoy it ever. I don’t like reading either unless it’s in the form of a screen play. I think people need to have basic writing skills but not crazy writing like in an English class. I have dysgraphia, dyslexia, and can’t spell so writing and reading is the worst things on the planet for me.

Tuesday 9/16/14

Reflect on this quote. Give an example of a time in your life that this might have been the case.

If you don’t do your homework you are not preparing for the test so you’re setting yourself up for a failing grade. This might be the case in theater if you don’t learn your lines you’re going to have a bad audition and not get the part.

What is the importance of research? Why do you need to know how to research? What have you learned in high school about researching topics and finding quality resources? Have you had a helpful teacher that has taught you to research? Explain.

The importance of research is to learn about something you don’t know about. You have to know the tool to do research to be effective and efficient. I have learned to use databases to find creditable sources. Yes, I have had a wonderful teacher that has taught me how to do research; but they are not that this school or state.

Surveillance invasion of privacy

http://www.buzzle.com/articles/are-security-cameras-an-invasion-of-privacy.html
www.cio.com.au

For my global issue in Emerging Technology I have chosen surveillance invasion of privacy. I have begun researching the issue and you can find my research questions here.

Wednesday 9/10/14

Kids this day are too attached to phones and tech. they lose the social interaction of face to face conversations. They are also under a lot more pressure than I ever was. This is sad because the kids are killing themselves at a higher rate. They also are going to get beter jobs because of the advance in tech.

Tuesday 9/9/14

Tell me about the global issue you selected. What do you already know about the issue? What are you looking forward to learning about it? Explain.

*Hint - it's okay to reference your research questions and selection paragraphs that you wrote earlier this week to answer this blog post. Don't copy and paste though. I'll know. :)

I selected the global issue of surveillance an invasion of privacy. The government is tracing phones, laptops and watching your every move with cameras. I’m looking forward to learn how creepy the government really is.

PSA

Wednesday 9-3-14

Yesterday I asked you to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

You asked us to “think differently” because this is computer science class. You want to see what we have learned for using Google Slides. The point was to challenge yourself to explore you creative side that some keep hidden deep inside. Simply because it’s boring and baby ish of pro Google side users.

Tell me all about your Labor Day weekend. What did you do? Include photos!

I just watched TV this weekend and enjoyed relaxing without my annoying brother. My mom, sister, and brother went to Maryland to get our dogs. Also I bought movie poster marquees and fixed them up. They are going up on my wall today Tuesday September 2, 2014.
